SOUND-ABSORBENT FABRICS FROM SOLIS

For Commercial Spaces

ROLLING BLINDS

SOLIS TECHWEAVE ACOUSTICS have an excellent reverberation reducing effect with αs value of 0.45

With SOLIS TECHWEAVE this was confirmed in the actual office in Mönchengladbach. Here, it was possible to reduce the reverberation times by more than 30% by using a acoustic blind.

ROOM ACOUSTICS

Insufficient sound absorption can create difficulties with conversation which can then affect the usability of rooms.

Solis offers certified blind fabrics which contribute considerably to improving the room acoustics. The determination of sound absorption rating αs according to ISO 354 in a frequency range of 125Hz - 4000Hz. For the comparison of products for application in buildings according to DIN EN ISO 11654, the sound absorption ratings determined are classified according to the sound absorption categories shown below:

As unfinished interiors are mostly dominated by sound-reflecting surfaces, the task of the interior fitting is the reduction of that sound. The ability of a material to absorb sound is indicated by the sound absorption coefficient as. It indicates the ratio of the impinged versus absorbed sound energy. The values range between the theoretical extremes 0 (no absorption, 100% of the sound reflected) and 1 (no reflection, 100% of the sound absorbed). The measurement takes place in the audible range between 125 and 4000Hz. The different frequency levels are absorbed to a different degree.
